Refined Story

My motion graphic is going to be a 'voting for dummies' video. It will walk through the process of actually going to the polls and casting the ballot. I hope to show this process iconographically/symbolically with as little text as possible, for the voters who may not speak English enough to understand a written step-by-step.

It's not complicated, it's just a process.
It's not hard, or intimidating, it's just knowing how to do it.
How easy your November 4th can be.
What your November 4th can and will look like.

Steps are as follows, but soon refined:

- first off, make sure you’re registered to vote

- before election day, make sure to check out the canidates. maybe watch a youtube speech or ask a friend who’s politically active for the low-down. if there is too much to read, try printing it out so that you can read it if there is a line.

- hopefully you still have your voter registration card that tells your what districtprecint and location you can vote at.

- get to the location (walk, ride, bus, carpool, or skip)

- stand in line (this is a good time to read your cheat sheet for the canidates)

- find your name on the list, get your ballot and find a booth

- cast your vote by filling in the circles (you’ve done this before...SATs, 4th grade)

- return your ballot to the polling volunteers

- and get your sticker/Congratulations!

...of course i'd need to show all these steps in illustration form, which makes me a bit nervous. but i believe in live and trace and simplfying of objectssss...soooo...we'll see.

and there we go, refined story but more coming soon–it's only Sunday afternoon.
