i think this is a simple and current example of information design. In a world where everything is categorized I think it's informational graphics job to sort it all out and simplify it for the laymen. with this one in particular, i like how it doesn't give you the text book definition of the categories, rather what it means to you and your home. its put it terms that mean something to the reader, rather than the technical, specific ones the online dictionaries give you. of course, the cute little cartoony illustrations make it all seem simple to understand.
i included some more hurricane pictures, just cause they're fascinatingly sad.
